Headworks and Thickener Upgrades – Hespeler WWTP

Scope of Work:

• Construction of a new headworks building and appurtenances
• Installation of rotary drum screens
• Installation of vortex tanks
• Construction of a new administration building and appurtenances
• Construction of a new membrane sludge thickening building and appurtenances
• Installation of membrane sludge thickening system
• Construction of new Peracetic Acid (PAA) building, pumping system and storage
• Upgrades to clarifiers 1 and 2 rake mechanisms
• New discharge piping in raw sewage pumping station
• Demolition of existing grit tank and scum tank
• Install approximately 370 metres watermain as well as two hydrants and meter chamber (including trenchless crossing of two creek crossings)
• Rerouting of existing aeration and yard piping to allow for the construction of the membrane thickening building
• Renovations and expansion of the existing administration building to convert into a workshop and electrical rooms
• Testing and commissioning of all works
